Tending to your stems

A little attention goes a long way. Five simple habits to keep your flowers alive and vibrant.

Give your flowers a little extra love to help them thrive. Follow these simple steps to keep your blooms fresh and vibrant.

  1. Trim at an angleCut 1–2 cm (about an inch) off the stems at a 45° angle under running water. This opens the stem for maximum hydration.
  2. Strip lower leavesGently remove any foliage that falls below the waterline, so the water stays clean and clear.
  3. Fresh & cool waterFill a clean vase with fresh, cool water, and change the water every day.
  4. Find the right spotKeep your blooms in a cool area away from direct sunlight, draughts and ripening fruit.
  5. Refresh every 2–3 daysRe-trim the stems every few days to double their lifespan.
